Profile of VendReview
VendReview is committed to savings our customer’s money on what they already spend, and then providing unparalleled customer service on every vendor area we implement savings. Beginning Feb 14th, 2005 from a history of sales across every industry, we realized it was possible to do good for the customer and save them money. Most sales reps that sit in front of a customer have been on the job less than 2 years and really don’t know much more than the customer about what they are selling. We realized if we focus on industry knowledge and couple it with a business plan that is designed to focus on the client’s benefit we could help the small to medium sized business focus on what they are best at… their business. We help our clients let go of the pressing concerns of contracts, sales reps and volumes and GET BACK TO BUSINESS.

Competitiveness
VendReview both has no competitors and is able to compete with any competition. Since we review any and all vendors in any one area of VendReview we run, there is no competition. The only companies that might feel competition are those that are hoping to continue their large profit margins and still keep a VendReview client on the books.
Overcoming Obstacles
The largest obstacle facing VendReview is that of any recently created industry. Many clients’ primary questions are “I don’t understand what you actually do” and “give me an example of who your competition is”. This is one of the reasons we don’t charge for the VendReview. Most of the work we do (pre-implementation) is a complementary service. If our client doesn’t like any of the savings we uncover, we shake their hand & (unless they request it) remove them from our contact list never to be contacted again. Though this is a mathematic possibility, it is a reality we have yet to experience.

Do we run the review for a fee only? We have considered this. Most of our clients don't realize the back end process and cost that is included in a Vendor Review. We have general business consulting contracts that we have engaged in, however this is not our focus. Considering this, we only offer business consultation to any company other than VendReview clients. Back to TopWhy would anyone not save money?Any company I approached with a handful of cash would quickly do business with me. The problem potential clients run into is the assumption that there is something they are missing in the "this is a free service" pitch. It is difficult to believe there is a company that can stay in business saving companies money - with no guarantee up front. As soon as our clients understand trust there are no alternative motivations other than the VendReview we offer, there really is no reason someone wouldn't want to save money. Back to TopHow long will the review take?Reviews have taken as little as 7 days and as long as 2 months. The timeline is based on scope, client timeline & schedule, number of locations and geography of locations. Our typical is 12 days from agreement to begin and presentation of the Go-No Go implementation agreement. If there is a need to go fast or slow, we are always willing to work at & for the pace of our client. Our purpose is to help our clients focus on what they do best, their business & our timeline is one of our companies first steps in that direction. Back to TopWhere do you find the most savings?Though certain industries have trends, there is truly no way to tell which vendor areas will be the areas of savings. If a client has a family member who is their insurance agent, or a neighbor who is a copier rep then we won't take those areas on. If a client has a relationship with a particular vendor they don't want to mess with, we only need the work and we won't even include that vendor in our review. Back to TopHow much time will my staff & I have to give? This is what we consider the most important question receive. Our review wasn't effectively communicated if we don't impress the time we will SAVE our clients. Now, on the front end we will take the time to answer your questions. After that you will see us in your office once in a while, but except for our answering your questions and taking care of your vendor issues before implementation and after, our intent is to create 0% obstruction. Back to TopI negotiated fine, why give time to confirm that?Though there are a couple clients we have reviewed that haven't given an effort at negotiation in their existence, we almost never find savings on every vendor on a client's P&L. No matter the negotiation skills our client possesses there is no way a client is able to carry the Major Account, Wholesale and Preferred Buyer status our scope of clients offers. For those clients who have the breadth of purchasing power to get the pricing our clients receive, they should pay a purchasing department to take care of that service.
